When my daughter Ce’Onna Meilani Johnson was diagnosed at 3 and half years old, it was been pretty devastating and hard having to first deal with the diagnosis and then having to be connected to an insulin pump for 24-7 and having to wear it in public. Not to mention she has not been able to wear her normal clothes that interferes with or does not accommodate her insulin pump. So, I came up with a way to fix this problem for my daughter to be able to deal with her diabetic diagnosis in private by wearing it in an inside pocket in her underwear daily. After doing extensive research in person and online, I realize that this is a huge need and issue for all diabetic patients who have to wear an insulin pump 24-7, not just those adults but toddlers who have been diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes.
